Scholarships
Since its origins as Hong Kong’s first Canadian international school in 1986, DSC has remained at the forefront of international education in Hong Kong. DSC graduates are successful, and our Alumni network is global. DSC students graduate from top universities around the world and are leaders in sciences, business, the arts, athletics, and technology innovation.
DSC Scholarship Programs are open for current and prospective scholars. In line with our Vision and Mission, DSC scholarships will support and motivate students as they continue to strive for excellence while promoting a love of learning and developing students’ social, emotional, intellectual, and physical intelligences.
DSC International School offers scholarships to Academic Scholars, Arts Scholars, and Athletic Scholars. A scholarship is an award for excellence and is awarded annually. Students who are awarded a scholarship will receive between a 25% to 80% monthly tuition waiver equal to the value of the Scholarship. Please note that DSC scholarships are only applicable to students who are living in Hong Kong.
Categories
Athletic Scholar
- As a student athlete, DSC’s Athletic Scholars are physically, intellectually, and emotionally committed to excellence and challenging themselves to reach their personal best. Athletic Scholars are leaders, mentors, team players, and critical thinkers.
- The sport of choice for Student-Athletes does not need to be one of the school’s varsity sports. Student-Athletes on a DSC Athletic Scholarship may pursue external training under professional coaches. DSC will develop an individualized educational program and timetable to support athletes. The school’s team of professional educators will guide and support the Student-Athlete in their academic pursuits.
Academic Scholar
As a critical knowledge explorer, DSC’s Academic Scholars espouse a love of learning, demonstrate outstanding achievement in multiple disciplines, and articulate the logical connection between ideas. These skills ensure our Scholars will be skilled academics empowered to create new knowledge and understanding.
Arts Scholar
- In an era where creativity is paramount, DSC’s Arts Scholars demonstrate a mastery in innovative design and artistic literacy in one or more artistic disciplines (Fine Arts, Drama, Music, and Dance). These skills ensure our Artisans will be leaders in the local and global transformational and impactful creative community.
- The specific artistic area of focus for an Arts Scholar does not need to be one of the curriculum areas covered by the school. DSC will develop an individualized educational program and timetable to support Art Scholars who need time during the day for external rehearsals, training, and competitions. The school’s team of professional educators will guide and support the Scholar in their academic pursuits.
